What a busy week year 6 have had.
We firstly wanted to say a massive well done to all the year 6 children who completed their SATs last week. They should be immensely proud of themselves for all that they have achieved. Year 6 had a brilliant day on Friday celebrating at Chessington.
In English, we challenged the children to writing two narratives. The first was based on a music video - Titanium and the second was based on a World War Two flashback. The teachers were very impresses with their hard work and determination to include all of their success criteria. Take a look at some of the children's brilliant work below.
This week gave us many opportunities to learn outdoors in celebration of 'Outdoor Learning Day'. The year 6 children learnt all about the different countries and their flags using their orienteering skills.
Finally in science, we kick started a new topic - Electricity. The children had lots of fun exploring ways in which circuits are made adding a variety of different components. They also learnt how to draw a circuit using the correct scientific symbols.
