Such a busy two weeks - where does the time go? Jade class was lucky to have Isla, doing work experience, join their class. Isla organised some exciting craft activities to do with some of the children which were great fun! We are in full flow with our DT topic which is all about making a fruit salad. The children have spoken about hygiene and made posters to help us remember what we need to do. This week our task was to develop our cutting skills in preparation for the fruit next week. We practiced on a tomato! We completed our Bear and the Piano story with some super recounts pretending to be Bear telling his friends all about his adventures. One of the group's guided reading books this week was How to draw cats and dogs. The group reading this had a go at drawing the cats and dogs as instructed in the text! In preparation for the Jubilee celebrations next week, we have been making a whole school card to be presented to the Queen. Y1 worked collaboratively to make crowns and a photo will make up our page in her card. Finally, congratulations go to Sameeha who is a semifinalist in the cake design competition for our Jubilee celebrations.
