We received hundreds of entries for the Jubilee Cake competition, the hard work and dedication put into these pictures was phenomenal.
We had the very difficult task of narrowing it down to just one winner! The Jubilee Cake finalists are:
Olive - Nursery
Carter - Reception
Sameeha - Year 1
Chloe - Year 3
Lily - Year 4
Eric - Year 5
Special commendation to the finalists for their fantastic work.
Thank you very much for participating in this exciting event.
A huge thank you for all the children who entered the ‘What makes Sutton, Sutton’ photography competition. Mrs Lomax was blown away with your creative and thoughtful entries and found it very hard to narrow it down to just 5 winners.
Our 5 winners were:
Alexis (Onyx)
Shreena (Topaz)
Matthew (Amethyst)
Emily (Amber)
Willow (Amber)
These children will be joining Mrs Lomax for 3 afternoons to continue the Sutton photography project with the new Throwley Yard venue. Watch this space in future newsletters to see how we get on!
Each week the children have been focusing on a Dining Hall Value.
If the children have demonstrated the values at lunch time consistently then they are entered into a raffle. At the beginning of every month in our Achievement Assembly we draw the raffle.

Congratulations to our amazing KS2 Young Voices Choir, who performed at the O2 on Friday 6th May. They have been working so hard to learn all the words to the variety of songs for the event ranging from O Fortuna, a medley from The Lion King, Mambo Italiano and many more. They also performed Sing from your Heart, a song written for this year's concert, which celebrates 25 years of Young Voices. The children sang with enthusiasm and made us all very proud.
Throwley Yard will be opening next year with a cinema, event space, cafe/bar and more!
Sutton Council want you to help them shape the plans by telling them how they can celebrate Sutton.
To find out more and get involved, please take a few minutes to fill this a survey.
We are looking for volunteers with creative jobs or hobbies to support our Arts Week in July. If you are an artist, dancer, photographer, designer, author, actor, or know someone who is, and would like to support our week dedicated to all things creative, please get in touch!
Thank you
It has been bought to our attention that some parents/carers that drive their children to school sit in their cars with the engines on.
As a healthy school we support children walking to school and we ask parents /carers to leave there cars at home. We do know that this is not always possible, so if you do drive please can we politely ask you to turn off your engines when waiting to drop off or collect your child.
The children have been working hard on their Doodle maths/ English and times tables both at home and at school which is great!
This week's top class Doodlers are: Moonstone class
Joshua A in Emerald has achieved a 100-Day streak in DoodleMaths and 50-Day streak in DoodleEnglish. Max in Opal has achieved a 200-Day streak in DoodleMaths, DoodleEnglish and DoodleSpell.
