We have had a very busy fortnight in Year 3. We have started a new topic in Maths: we are learning all about time in both analogue and digital and we are getting more confident at telling the time to the nearest 5 minutes. In English we have written a blog to recount Howard Carter experiences when discovering the tomb of Tutankhamun, explaining what he saw when he went down the steps to the secret antechamber. In addition, we used Nowpressplay headphones to bring the Ancient Egyptian stories to life. So exciting! We were able to use our imagination and act out the story while listening to it through our headphones. We can't wait to do this again soon! In Science, we learned about how light travels in a straight line. We tested some materials and classified them into transparent, translucent and opaque using a torch for our investigation. Amber class had their assembly on Thursday about the Ancient Egyptians. All children were amazing and treated their audience to a walk through Ancient Egyptian times and a quiz with the most unusual facts. Well done Amber class!
