Year 2 have had some great learning over the last week. We have been fortunate enough to receive 'Now Press Play' headsets which has enabled us to be fully immersed in the topics being learnt. In our humanities lesson, we have been studying different explorers, one of which was Neil Armstrong. The children enjoyed using the headsets to discover all about Neil Armstrong's life. Our science topic this half term is looking at living things and their habitats. We have also been researching how animals are adapted to these environments. Using the chromebooks have been really helpful to research animals and their adaptations.
In maths, we are looking at 'Money, Money, Money!' All children have shown an excellent understanding of the value of money as well as what coins / notes would be needed in order to make an amount. We have have also been trying to go one step further and finding multiple ways to show an amount. Finally, we have also continued to look at different ways of travelling on apparatus and using our fundamental core skills to balance.
