What an action-packed fortnight we've had! It all began with our pancake flipping on Shrove Tuesday. The children had 30 seconds to flip the pancakes. It was not easy! Well done to our Y1 winner: Bobby, who managed an amazing 11 flips in the time! Without a shadow of a doubt, the highlight of the last couple of weeks in Y1 was our 'Fire of London' workshop on March 2nd. It was an absolutely amazing experience for the children who were engaged for the entire length of the workshop. The children were transformed into significant characters from the time and re-enacted the events. We all came away having learned even more interesting facts about the Great Fire and I hope you have enjoyed hearing all about it. I would like to once again thank the generosity of the ten parents who paid extra towards the workshop enabling it to go ahead, you've helped make some incredible memories for the year group! Dressing up continued with World Book day and the children had a lovely day as their various characters! We had great fun in science this week testing materials to see which were magnetic and then made our own magnetic fish games!
