Year 6 have had a fantastic couple of weeks. In maths, we have been acing numbers up to ten million and BODMAS. In English, we have been writing a newspaper report and a diary about Stanley's experience from our class text, "Holes." Last week, we were also lucky enough to join a live online workshop with the author of "The Last Bear" that we read in Year 5. In science, we have been looking at the heart and learning about our circulatory system. In geography, we have begun looking at coastlines and how different features are formed. We have also enjoyed looking at where these features can be found around the UK.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - division
Writing - we will be focusing on writing an informal letter
Reading - we will be looking at summarising texts
Geography - in our topic, Our Changing World, we will be looking at coastal features
Science - in our topic, Animals Including Humans, we will be focusing on the impact of exercise on our bodies.
