Year 3 have been busy explorers these past two weeks! They journeyed back in time with a live 'Ask An Ologist' lesson, learning fascinating facts about Vikings and even the surprising world of fungi! In DT, their culinary skills blossomed as they peeled and chopped carrots (with great enthusiasm!), and in PE, they've been grooving to the beat, continuing their exciting dance topic.
We've been busy planning our persuasive leaflets ready to create them on our chromebooks next week encouraging our readers to climb Mount Everest. In Maths we have been working out the duration of time as well as finding start and end times using both analogue and digital clocks.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - We will be learning about leap years and answering word problems including this information such as 'Tim read 5 pages every day in September and October. How many pages did he read in total?'
Writing - In English we will be writing our persuasive leaflets next week encouraging our readers to climb Mount Everest.
Geography - We will be consolidating all of our learning about Antarctica and we will be completing a short piece of writing to show this.
Science - In Science we will be revising over all our learning from this half term and we will be answering questions based on our light and shadow topic.
