In Year 2, we have been trialling a new reward initiative in the form of our very own LEO School Bank. All pupils in Year 2 have an online school bank account and can earn virtual LEO Coins when demonstrating exemplary behaviour, effort or work. Teachers credit their accounts with their coins and pupils can then choose to spend their money in the LEO Shop or save up to put towards a bigger purchase in the future! We look forward to sharing further developments and feedback about the School Bank.
Pioneered by the National Autistic Society (NAS), World Autism Acceptance Week aims to raise awareness and acceptance of individuals living with autism by educating people to understand the condition and by helping make the world friendlier to those who are affected by it.
At Cognus, we will be running a variety of workshops and activities for autistic young people, parents, and carers of autistic children and professionals from the 25th of March to the 5th of April 2024. Look at our schedule of events that are available to book now here Cognus Limited Events | Eventbrite.

On Friday every week we hold a Celebration Assembly where we award one child per class a 'Star of The Week' certificate. This is given to children who have impressed their teachers throughout the course of the week. We also give one child per class a 'Be The Best You Can Be' certificate for demonstrating our Excellent Learner values. Finally, we also award a 'Rights Respecting' certificate to one child per class for demonstrating behaviour and attitudes that reflect our Rights Respecting approach in school.
