In English we have been using the story of Lila and the Secret of the Rain for our writing stimulus. We created a storyboard to represent the beginning, middle and end of the story and retold the story in our own words in a booklet. In maths we have been maths detectives to solve word problems. If the problem had the words altogether or in total we needed to add to solve it. If the problem had the word left in it we needed to subtract to find the answer. In science we have been investigating materials and their properties. So far we have carried out investigations to explore which materials are absorbent and which are waterproof. Last week we had a forces science workshop for Science Week. It was great fun!
