Year 4 children have really enjoyed finishing reading the text 'The Secret Explorers and the Rainforest Rangers', completing the end of text quiz and researching facts on how important orangutans are for the rainforest. In Maths, we have been continuing working on developing our multiplication skills and exploring different strategies for multiplying. During Science lessons, we looked at electrical safety in our topic 'Energy, Electricity and Circuits'. And in Geography, we wrote letters to the Brazilian President on ways we can protect the Amazon rainforest.
Over the next term, we will be learning:
Maths - The children will continue to work on the multiplication and division unit.
Writing - Our new Power of Reading text will be 'Beowulf' and we are looking forward to learning different facts about the Vikings!
History - We will start working on our new topic 'How hard was it to invade and settle in Britain?'.
Science - Our new topic will be Materials: State of Matter.
