This week we have been learning:
Maths - we have been measuring in centimetres and metres as well as comparing lengths,
Writing - we have planned, written and then edited a character description on the book "How I Became a Pirate" by Melinda Long.
Geography - we have used our knowledge of hot and cold places around the world to do some disciplinary writing. This is where we write as geographers and use lots of specialist vocabulary to answer a question.
Science - we have looked at botany and thought more about what plants you might find in different habitats.
Design & Technology - the children have investigated, designed and now made their healthy wrap to best suit a balanced diet.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - we will be using our knowledge of measurement to solve word problems.
Writing - we will be using our knowledge of adjectives, adverbs and conjunctions to write setting descriptions from a winter holiday scene.
Science - we will be using our knowledge of habitats and micro-habitats to do some disciplinary writing. This is where we write as scientists and use lots of specialist vocabulary to answer a question.
