Reception have had a busy and exciting couple of weeks! Last week, we were inspired by the story "Mae Among the Stars." We had great discussions about whether we liked the story and if we agreed with our friends' opinions. It was wonderful to see the children learning that it's okay to have different thoughts and feelings about stories. We even set up our own book review corner to recommend books to each other. Mae's dream of becoming an astronaut sparked our own imaginations, and we all shared what we want to be when we grow up.

This week, we've been getting festive with the story "Stick Man" and transformed our role-play area into Santa's workshop! The classroom is sparkling with decorations, and we've been learning about Christmas celebrations around the world. We've also been singing lots of Christmas songs and are so proud of how well the children performed in the Reception performance of "Whoops-a-Daisy Angel." They were all superstars!
