Reception have hit the ground running this term, making for a fantastic start to 2024. 

We have started our new topic and been exploring the theme of "Real-Life Heroes." We've learnt about doctors, firefighters, and everyday people who've made a difference in the world. These stories have sparked lively discussions about what it means to be a hero and inspired the children to think about their own achievements. 

We have started an exciting new art project which we will continue to build upon through the term. In maths we have been learning the composition of 5, using cubes, sand hands and number bond diagrams to support our understanding. In literacy we have been continuing our journey to becoming confident writers by writing 'It is a...' sentences. We tried hard to remember finger spaces and a full stop.
