Since returning from our half term holidays Nursery have been very busy learning about Bonfire Night, Halloween, Remembrance Day, Odd sock day, anti-bullying week, Nursery rhyme week and Children in Need!
We have been reading the books 'Room on the broom' and 'Whatever next'. In Phonics we have started looking at the sounds 's' and 'a' and words that begin with those sounds, such as sock, sun, snake, ant, apple and arrow. In Maths we have been signing counting songs, such as 5 little ducks and 5 little speckled frogs and trying to represent numbers using our fingers. We have also been using positional language and thinking about the directions, under, next to, on and behind.
⭐ All of the children really enjoyed taking part in their sponsored event. They took part in many different physical activities such as crawling under equipment, climbing, travelling across benches in different ways (walking and pulling themselves along on their stomach), frog jumps and star jumps. Everyone was very tired afterwards, we were very proud of all of the hard work and effort that they put into it! ⭐
