Year 5 have enjoyed another exciting couple of weeks. Our budding scientists had an out-of-this-world experience with a visit from the space dome. This immersive learning environment allowed them to explore the wonders of the cosmos, sparking their curiosity about the universe and its many mysteries. In English, our students tapped into their creative sides, crafting and performing poetry about the rainforest. Through vivid imagery and expressive language, they brought this vibrant ecosystem to life, exploring its diverse flora and fauna. Our language learners delved into the world of "la maison" in French. They explored different types of houses and homes, expanding their vocabulary and gaining insights into French culture and daily life. Finally, we joined a live assembly for Safer Internet Day. This important event provided students with valuable knowledge and tools to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly, empowering them to make informed choices online.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - Decimals
Writing - The Explorer - Writing a narrative
Geography - Why Oceans Matter - How do we use our oceans?
Science - Life Cycles And Reproduction - Life cycles and reproduction in plants.
