This week we have been learning:

Maths - we have been identifying coins and notes and adding them together to find different amounts.. 

Writing - we have been learning about deforestation and poetry. We have used rhyming words to create poems about the wonders of the rainforests and the horrors of deforestation.

History - we have been writing as historians to answer the question, "How did we learn to fly?".

Science - we have been writing as scientists to answer the question, "Why are different materials suitable to be used for different purposes?".

After half term, we will be learning:

Maths - we will be continuing our Money topic by calculating different amounts of change after paying for an item.

Writing - we will be working hard as we look at different characters and how we can use expanded noun phrases to describe their appearances and personalities.

Geography - we will be starting our new topic, "Why is our world wonderful?". We will start by looking at the United Kingdom and some of its amazing features and landmarks.

Science - we will be starting our new topic "Life cycles and health". We will start by recapping the life cycles of humans, animals and plants.
