Year 6, have been busy as bees over the last two weeks! In English, we've delved into the world of Louis Sachar's "Holes" and written letters in role as Stanley Yelnats, describing the trials and tribulations of Camp Green Lake to his poor mother! Maths has seen us tackling the challenges of long multiplication and division – hopefully you're not being bombarded with too many questions at home! Our science brains were engaged in creating fantastic clay models of invertebrates, complete with accurate scientific labels. Over in art, the children have been exploring product design, redesigning packaging with a creative flair. Finally, in computing, we've been discussing important issues surrounding gender stereotypes and how they impact our lives.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - common multiples and factors
Writing - writing a narrative based on a chapter in Holes.
Reading - focusing on vocabulary and summarising
Science - Living things and classifying: plants and microorganisms
