Year 3 News!
What a busy and productive few weeks it's been in Year 3! We're incredibly proud of all the children's hard work and effort, particularly during their recent termly assessments. They all demonstrated fantastic progress and achieved some excellent results. Well done, everyone!
Our scientific minds have been shining brightly as we explored the fascinating world of light and shadows. We've been conducting experiments and observing how light behaves, leading to some truly insightful discoveries.
In geography, we embarked on an exciting adventure to Antarctica, learning about the intrepid explorer Ernest Shackleton and his incredible journey. The children were captivated by stories of resilience and bravery in the face of extreme conditions.
Finally, we've wrapped up our swimming lessons, and it's been wonderful to witness the children's growing confidence and skill in the water. From hesitant splashes to confident strokes, they've all made fantastic progress. We hope they continue to enjoy swimming and stay safe in the water. We are looking forward to the next term!
In the next term, we will be learning:
Maths - The children will be looking at adding and subtracting money.
Writing - Our text will be "First to the Top" and we will write a persuasive leaflet..
Science - Our Science topic that we are looking at in the next half term will be "Light and shadows"
