Year 1 have enjoyed using the stimulus of the story of Peace at Last for their writing. The children have written their own version of the story, trying hard to use language from the story. In maths we have been using different strategies to solve addition calculations. we have used number lines, counting on and part part whole models to represent and solve addition calculations. In science we have been consolidating what we have learnt so far to create a weather report from our chosen season. In art we each did a spiral piece of artwork using the medium of our choice. We put all of the pieces together to make one big collaborative picture. They looked fantastic!
We are looking forward to sharing with you all the children's work and achievements from this half term at your parent consultations next week.
