Thank you for supporting the roll out of the new lunch ordering system, SchoolGrid.
Menus for all dietry requirements have now been updated so if your child has a dietry requirement (such as halal), please revisit School Grid to make any amendments.
If you have any questions or would like some help with ordering your child's school meals, please speak to the offices on each site.
We were absolutely delighted to have worked with Roomservice by CORT to give two tired teaching rooms a much-needed makeover during the recent half term break. Schools can be busy, noisy places, so Roomservice by CORT set out to create two little oases of calm. The result? Soothing, homely spaces that support learning and emotional wellbeing. And all at no cost at all to the school!
With fresh eco paint, thoughtfully chosen furniture, and a focus on wellbeing, they have transformed these spaces into calming environments where children can feel safe, focused, and supported. The team initially approached us to see if we had any rooms that needed a makeover, before ensuring that the design process, redecoration and installation was carefully and thoughtfully carried out to give the children of Cheam Park Farm the most amazing of spaces.
A huge thank you to the team at Roomservice by CORT for creating such wonderful spaces for our pupils, we have now been inspired to continue this work across other areas of the school. Below are some before and after photos of the two rooms that they have delivered.
If you are interested to find out more about the work that they do, you can find them online at roomservicebycort.com, follow them on Instagram @roomservicebycort and on X @rsbycort.
The book fair will be open during the week of the 17th November. Money raised from the book fair will help us to buy new books for our library and book corners across the school. This year you will be able to pay by card or cash.
Molesey Site Book Fair Opening times: Tuesday and Wednesday 3:15 -3:45 in Pink class.
Kingston Site Book Fair Opening times: Tuesday and Wednesday 3:15-3:45 in the community room.
The children will have opportunity to visit the book fair during the school day and explore what is on offer.
If you are unable to visit the book fair after school on Tuesday and Wednesday, children can also bring in cash or or cards such as ‘go henry’ to pay for any books they wish to purchase.
If there are changes to the collection of your child/children, please can we ask that these are communicated to the office by 2pm where possible.
On School Grounds: To ensure a focused learning environment, pupils are not permitted to use their personal mobile phones on school grounds or during lessons at LEO Academy Trust schools. This policy has a single exception for documented medical needs.
Storage and Use: For pupils who travel alone and carry a phone (at their parents' discretion), devices must be turned off upon entering school grounds and remain off until they exit the school gates. All such phones will be securely stored by the school upon arrival and returned at the end of the school day. (LEO Academy Trust holds no responsibility for loss or damage to the device whilst stored on the child's behalf).
Parental Considerations: We advise parents and guardians to consider providing their children with less expensive devices for safety reasons. While these devices still allow for calls and texts, they can mitigate some of the wider risks associated with more costly phones. We recognise that the ultimate decision regarding device choice rests with the parents.
Online Safety Education: LEO Academy Trust prioritises online safety. Our curriculum, parent workshops, and communications consistently highlight the dangers of unsupervised online access, particularly concerning social media. We also offer regular training and support for parents on online safety practices and managing parental controls on a variety of devices.

As we are now into the term, we would like to send some key reminders about our school PE kit. More information about our school uniform can be found below on our school website. https://www.cheamparkfarmprimary.co.uk/726/school-uniform
Shorts
Please ensure that all PE shorts are similar to the pictures below rather than cycling shorts. These should be plain black and free from logos.
These can be purchased from our uniform shop but are also available elsewhere.

Tracksuit Bottoms
When the weather turns colder, children should wear a tracksuit bottom or leggings.
Please ensure that these are plain black and free of logos.
Jogging bottoms can be purchased from our uniform shop but are also available elsewhere.
Tracksuit Tops
Children should wear one of the following: a plain black round neck sweatshirt or a zip up ‘hoodie’; the school uniform quarter zip; or their green school jumper/cardigan.
Black sweatshirts can be purchased from our uniform shop but are also available elsewhere.
School quarter zip: https://www.schoolwearinc.co.uk/shop/cheam-park-farm-primary-academy-kingston/quarter-zip-p-e-top-with-logo-4/
A reminder that children should not have smart watches in school.
Free School Uniforms
Sutton Community Uniform Bank provides free school uniforms for 4 - 18 year olds (they are unable to provide footwear). There is no eligibility to use this service (it is open to anyone with a child or young person who needs a school uniform).
Naming uniforms
Please can you ensure that all of your child's belongings are named.
Haircuts
You will be aware that our school uniform policy states no extreme haircuts. We have noticed that some children have had logos or letters shaved into their hair. This is not allowed under our school policy.
Jewellery such as rings, earrings or bracelets are not to be worn to school. In pierced ears, a plain round stud may be worn but must be removed for physical activities (including dance, gymnastics and swimming). We allow children to wear watches but they remain the responsibility of the child at all times. For safety reasons, long hair should be tied back at all times. Any hair accessories must be of the school colours and should be fit for purpose (i.e. not a fashion statement). No extreme styles of haircuts or eyebrow shavings are allowed. Hair must be of a natural colour and not dyed. Make-up and nail varnish are not allowed to be worn at school at any time.
Please view the below link for more information:
Simply navigate to the "Attendance" section, input the details, and submit. Our staff will then approve the absence, and you'll see it reflected in your child's attendance record.
Please note: This new system is for same-day absences only. For extended or future absences, please continue to report via the Special Authorised Absence Form on the school website.
Important change: From the Autumn Term, we will no longer be using the Google Form for sickness and appointment absences. All same-day absences must be submitted via the Parent Portal on the Arbor App.
If your child has an illness that requires them to take medication during school hours (e.g. antibiotics, cough medicine, creams etc.), you must fill in the Medicine Permission Form linked below.
This form, and the medication, must be brought to the school office on the morning that the medication is due to start. The school office staff will administer the medication at the times stated on the form by the parent/carer. You can collect the medication at the end of the school day, or at the end of the illness.
Please do not send any medicine into school with your child, this includes sore throat lozenges.
If we do not have a completed Medicine Permission Form we will not be able to administer medication to your child.
A polite reminder to avoid parking over driveways or in ways that could be dangerous in the roads around both sites. This includes not parking on lines where you should not park. This helps keep everyone safe, especially our children.
A reminder also that although Kingston Avenue is under the Sutton Council's school streets scheme, it still remains a road. Please avoid walking in the road as we still have a number of cars who are in the road during drop off and pick up.
We pride ourselves on offering our children varied and exciting experiences that help to support their learning of the curriculum. The School Fund will allow us to provide additional activities, school visits and enrichment opportunities across all year groups.
We have a voluntary school fund donation of £10 a term / £30 a year per child or £40 for a family if there are siblings at the school. We are aware of the current cost of living crisis and any donation will be gratefully received.
Parents can make payments for the School Fund online through our Arbor payment system. Simply log in to the parent portal and navigate to your child's home screen, then visit the school shop. From there, you can choose the appropriate school fund option based on your needs. You also have the flexibility to purchase multiple school funds. The available options are: School Fund - £10 per term, School Fund - £30 per year for each child, and School Fund - £40 per family for siblings attending the school.
We would like to thank you for your continued support.
Apply by completing the online application form, or call 02087705000.
