Year 4 have had an incredibly busy week after their adventurous week last week in High Ashurst.
In maths, we have been looking at roman numerals and how to read them successfully. We learnt different ways to remember the different symbols and how these relate to the numbers that we use.
In English, we have been writing a newspaper report based on The Firework Makers daughter. We have been trying to think of different catchy headlines to draw the reader in and make them want to read.
In geography, we have been looking at rivers and how they are used. We started looking at how rivers begin and some different features of rivers.
In science, we have been classifying plants and displaying this data in a number of ways. We were fascinated to find so many different types of leaves.
Finally, they have all completed their multiplication check this week. Well done everyone!
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - Continuing with roman numerals.
Writing - We will be writing a balanced arguement.
Geography - Continuing our work on rivers and where we can find them.
Science - Classification and changing habitats.
