This term, Year 3 has been on a fantastical adventure! In English, they have written recounts to capture the strange events of the Iron Man so far. To make their writing truly great, they've teamed up with a partner polishing their work together. Maths has seen them transform into geometry whizzes, conquering the world of lines, from parallel lines that never meet to perpendicular lines forming perfect right angles.
In Geography, they've become explorers of their own neighbourhood, using maps to identify the human features like shops, schools and houses and the natural world's physical features like rivers. It's been a whirlwind few weeks, and we're so proud of all their hard work!
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - In Maths we will be starting our new chapter looking at measuring the perimeter of shapes.
Writing - We are going to read further into the Iron Man and next week we will be planning a balanced argument as to whether Hogarth is right to trap the Iron Man.
Geography - We will be looking further at maps of our local area and understanding how the area has changed over time.
Science - We are revising over topics we have covered so far this year focusing on movement and nutrition.
