This week we have been learning about:
Maths - we have been solving word problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Writing - we have identified the features of a recipe before planning, writing and editing our own recipes for chocolate bars.
Science - we have thought about the differences between human-made and natural materials and grouped them based on their characteristics.
Geography - we have used Google Earth to find and identify different coastlines around the United Kingdom.
DT - we have been learning about links, linkages and pivots in preparation of making our own moving monsters.
We also had a special visitor that taught us all how to be safe in the water!
Next week we will be learning about:
Maths - we will be recapping our previous learning from throughout the year, including: place value, methods of calculation, fractions, shape and time.
Writing - we will be reading more of our text, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" before focusing on adverbs of manner.
Science - we will be identifying suitable materials based on their properties.
Geography - we will be looking at the physical features of coastlines with a particular focus on the Jurassic Coast.
