Year 5 had another exciting week of learning! In maths, we learned about squared and cubed numbers, and how to calculate them using different methods. In English, we're working on writing a balanced argument based on our new text, Kensuke's Kingdom. We're learning how to identify the different sides of an argument, and to support our own arguments with evidence from the text. In science, we're starting our new topic on space, and we're excited to learn about the planets, stars, and galaxies. Year 5 are also excited to start our new geography topic, Investigating our World! We'll be learning about map skills, world time zones, climate zones, human geography, capital cities, transport, and settlements. We can't wait to explore the world and learn more about our amazing planet. Year 5 had a thrilling time on their trip to the London Eye, where they used their detective skills to try and solve the mystery of Salim's disappearance.
