We have all really enjoyed welcoming the children back to school after the half-term break and are very proud of how they have all settled back into the school routine.
The children have loved reading the story "Room on the Broom." As part of this, we've been exploring the enchanting world of rhyming words and worked hard to identify and create rhyming pairs. In maths, we have been busy learning all about 2D shapes. The children have had a blast discovering the names and properties of these shapes and even participated in a fun feely bag shape game to enhance their understanding.
In art, we have crafted beautiful fireworks pictures using paint. Additionally, we've been sparking discussions about the different ways people celebrate Bonfire Night, allowing the children to appreciate different traditions and festivities. We have also read a story about fireworks safety.
Our roleplay areas have had a makeover and are now beautiful castles. The children have had a great time taking on the role of a king, queen or knight.
