In maths, the children have been using a variety of methods to revise their six and seven times tables, such as playing games, singing songs, and completing worksheets. In writing, the children have immersed themselves into their new focus book the 'Ice Trap!' They have been revising relative clauses and prepositions in preparation for their blog posts about "Ice Trap!". In science, the children have been learning about the definition of sustainability and why it is mportant. They have also been discussing ways that they can be more sustainable in school and at home. Overall, the children have had a very productive and engaging first week back to school. We are excited to see what they accomplish in the weeks to come!
Maths - We will be looking at multipication and division.
Writing - We will be working towards writing a blog based on our new focus story the 'Ice Trap'.
Reading - In Reading we will be focusing on explain questions. The children will be looking at the text they have read and will think about the choices of the author's language and structure.
History - We will be starting our new Geography topic - Antarctica and climate change.
Science - In science we have begun a new topic - Sustainbility.
