In Reception, we've kicked off our Spring 2 topic 'Creatures' with immense enthusiasm. We have been engrossed in the enchanting tale of "What the Ladybird Heard" and tried to spot the words that the author used to describe the animals in the story. We then had a go at writing our own sentence about our favorite farm animal.
In maths, we have been exploring the concept of capacity with great curiosity. We have been trying hard to use the vocabulary full, empty, half full, nearly full, to nearly empty in our independent play.
We have started our DT topic by practicing our threading and weaving skills. We are going to be using these skills in future weeks to sew our very own bookmarks.
In science, we learnt all about the lifecycle of a ladybird. Did you know that ladybirds eat aphids and other small animals that live on plants and flowers?
