NURSERY
We are so pleased to report that the children have continued to settle in very well in nursery. They are learning new routines and expectations quickly, and they are now able to:
Identify their colour house and store their book bag in the correct box
Go to their specified area to tidy up
Follow simple instructions from staff
The children have also been very excited to watch the construction workers build our new playground. This has generated a lot of conversation and excitement, and the children have been asking many questions about the construction process.
The children have also created their own classroom rules, which they have signed with their fingerprints. The rules are:
Be kind and respectful to others
Share and take turns
Listen to the teacher
Have fun!
We are very proud of the children for creating these rules, and we are confident that they will help to create a positive and supportive learning environment for everyone.
The children have also been enjoying singing some lovely nursery rhymes, including "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and "Wind the Bobbin Up." Nursery rhymes are a great way for children to learn new vocabulary and develop their language skills. They also help to promote bonding and social interaction.
RECEPTION
Reception has been enjoying reading The Tiger Who Came to Tea and Peace at Last. We have made lots of amazing art work of bears and tigers using a variety of different tools. We have acted out the stories and described the tiger.
We have been practising counting to 10 and ordering numbers.
We have been practising writing and recognising our names using messy play! We particularly love the shaving foam!
The children have enjoyed watching the builders transform our playground. We are so excited to have a play!
