One of the greatest parts of life is that we are always growing. We grow in knowledge. We grow closer together. Our family is growing in number. We grow physically which is good for the young ones but maybe not for us that are over 60. 😃 We are so thankful that the Lord continues to watch over us and keep us growing. As we read His Word and see again the love that He has for us, we pray that we will continue to grow in faith and love toward Him and toward one another. May your year be blessed as you grow in faith and love through the power of the newborn Savior.
Becky and I enjoyed vacation in Hawaii this year. Snorkeling and hiking were the highlights. Becky continues to watch granddaughter Chelsea and I continue to serve as CAO at St. Luke’s.
Anthony and Isabel (Gainesville FL) were married on November 9. We had a great celebration in Gainesville. Anthony continues to work at home writing software and Isabel is in the final stages of her PHD. An opportunity outside Denver CO is coming this year.
Natalie and AJ (Orlando FL) welcomed Chelsea to their family in March. Jamie is now 3 and loves her big sister role. Natalie was blessed with a nice maternity leave and being able to work at home in retirement funds administration. AJ continues at St. Luke's with Jamie there too for preschool.
Jacob and Mallory (Austin TX) and Emerson will welcome a new member to the family in June! Emerson enjoys his days at preschool. Mallory has added teaching at UT Austin to her work schedule. Jake’s company closed down so he is back working tech at a local school.
Our year began with a plan to replace our living room floor. We didn't expect the 8 weeks to get it finished. Had a nice visit in Fort Lauderdale with Marty, Pam and Phil and a visit to a drive through Safari. We traveled to Hawaii in March. Snorkeling, hiking, beautiful scenery, and a visit with cousin Steve and Debbie. I was broadsided on the way home the first Sunday of May which totaled my car. Thank the Lord that injuries were minor. Becky was able to travel to Austin in May for a short visit. We met up with Jake, Mallory, Emerson, Anthony & Isabel in Destin in July. Had a great visit with all my brothers and sister Connie in Cincinnati in August. Florida was hit with two hurricanes this year so I ended up spending a fair amount of time in disaster response. Becky was able to make a Thanksgiving trip to Cedar Rapids to visit with her mom and sister and family. We've been testing out how many different things we can print with our 3D printer!
