Christmas 2015

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever

Graduation! All three of our children graduated this year! It makes for a lot of change for them and for us. But one thing is certain: we have a changeless God in our changing lives. Graduation speakers refer to this being an end to one phase and the start to another. What a great example of our God who comes to us each morning to give us a new day to live in His love. So as your life changes this year, enjoy the unchanging message of salvation. Live in the joy of eternal life today.

Anthony graduated from Winter Springs High School. He moved to Gainesville FL in June to begin work at Dillard's. He was accepted into the Innovation Academy at the University of Florida where he is majoring in Digital Arts and engineering.

He was able to secure an on campus job at the student union AV department where he will be able to continue using his tech knowledge. Anthony still enjoys his hobbies of guitar, gaming, and photography.

Natalie graduated from Concordia Seward with her mathematics degree (and the top math department award!). She returned to Winter Springs and in December joined AON in their benefits department. It is great to have her back around town!

Natalie is busy with plenty of activity including working with the St. Luke's high school youth and college group. Boyfriend Matt Northam is in his senior year at the University of Central Florida.

Jacob graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Master’s Degree in curriculum. He is teaching a second year at Lafeyette High School with all Geometry classes.

Mallory will finish her Master's Degree this spring from Ole Miss and is also the editor of the Ole Miss 2016 yearbook!

Maybie (a Welsh Corgi) has made their home more exciting this year. :) Their summer honeymoon to Europe was a highlight of the year!

Becky is teacher aide, tech troubleshooter, chapel AV creator, substitute, morning care supervisor and all around fill-in person at Trinity Lutheran School in downtown Orlando. (Also some volunteer time with Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries.) Steve was able to guide St. Luke’s through the planning of a new Family Life Center and Gymnasium and is looking forward to it's construction in 2016. We were blessed to celebrate our 30th Anniversary in August. We said goodbye this year to our dog Shadow and our 1995 Ford Aspire.

We continue to work with the Children of Love Foundation in La Paz Honduras. I now serve as President and Becky serves on the Honduras Board of Directors. The ministry there continues to grow and change so if you feel moved to help or travel there, please join us.

Our parents continue to provide us with the love of Christ. Steve's dad (90!) and mom (85) are at the Lutheran Haven so we get to see them almost every day. Dad continues his physical therapy and is able to walk with assistance with a modified walker. Mom is busy in all kinds of Haven activities including choirs, volunteering and helping Dad. Dad is now able to spend many afternoons at the cottage which is a nice get-away from the nursing home Becky's dad latest PET scan showed no lung cancer so he has a reprieve from chemo for now. Her mom had back surgery which has also helped her walking. They continue to enjoy life in Marion and celebrated their 60th Anniversary in September.
