When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. Matthew 2
It is with joy that we celebrate the Saviors birth again this year. He continues to watch over us and bless us as we go about our work. We pray that you are also filled with joy as we look forward to eternity with Him!
Anthony can drive
Anthony had a rough start this year with a stress fracture just below the knee in January. After 6 months of recovery, he was ready to run again! He enjoyed the youth servant trip where they helped different groups in downtown Atlanta.
The start of his sophomore year has gone well. The big news of course is that on November 1, he passed his drivers test and is now happily driving to all of his events!
Natalie graduates
Natalie finished her Senior year at Winter Springs and excelled academically and athletically. A summer of odd jobs and the college-age servant trip to Joplin, Missouri fixing up houses kept her busy.
She then began her college career at Concordia Seward in August. She is majoring in Secondary Education planning to teach Mathematics and is playing on the JV basketball team.
Jacob can drink
Turning 21 is always a momentous event and the start of another phase of life. Jacob will graduate from the University of Florida in May with a degree in Mathematics. He is pursuing some work with Google or possibly teaching high school mathematics.
He and Mallory Skype each other regularly as they both lead Young Life groups and keep their relationship going as they live 600 miles apart.
Becky left her full time role of teaching this year for part time work. She teaches at Spark Academy, works taking sports photographs, and helping out the Children of Love Foundation. Steve became the Chief Administrative Officer at St. Luke's (100 Years old) in August and is enjoying it. Everyone but Natalie was able to travel back to Honduras to help out at the Children of Love Foundation this year.
We were glad to have parents around for Jon & Gabby's wedding in March and graduation in May. Becky got a trip in to the Keys with Patty from the church office. She and Natalie were able to visit Iowa and Minnesota on the way to Nebraska and finish the trip with all of us enjoying Travis and Hali's wedding in August.(Sorry we missed Luke & Brook's wedding.) I flew up to Ohio to celebrate Mom & Dad's 60th wedding anniversary in November.
