New Life!
Two new grandchildren for us in 2021! There is absolutely nothing like the miracle of a new life. From conception to birth to all of the changes that occur for the rest of an individuals life, each person is unique and loved by God. Our world needs to hear about the new life that is offered in Christ. There is hope and peace and joy that exists so share the news of God's salvation today!
Becky has a new job as a nanny for granddaughter Jamie! A broken fibula in April slowed her down for a while but has healed well. Lego creations are the favorite pastime and the relaxed schedule gives more time for that!
I (Steve) have enjoyed the transition to being a new grandparent this year. Seeing life continue in the next generation has been such a blessing. My work at St. Luke's continues to bring exciting challenges and joy each day!
Anthony is living in Gainesville FL. His new for 2021 was his first full time job as a software designer. He was able to work from anywhere so he decided to stay in town. We always enjoy days when he and Isabel come for a visit.
Natalie and AJ became new parents on April 29 with the arrival of daughter Jamie Ann Leupold. She is an absolute joy and it's a whole new family routine for them all. Natalie works from home (calculating pensions) and AJ continues to work at St. Luke’s.
Jacob and Mallory brought our second new grandchild this year! Due on Thanksgiving, Emerson Gray Lehenbauer came into the world on December 9. He is a handsome young boy! Jacob is math teacher and tech director at Rawson Saunders in Austin TX. Mallory continues to serve as youth director for a small church in Austin, does freelance writing work, and started a new position with an organization that helps young girls.
We enjoyed traveling to Iowa this year for time with Becky's mom (as well as her visits here in May and October!) and camping along the way and back. A visit to the Arch and St. Louis Cardinals baseball game are always fun! Our Lehenbauer reunion at Camp Cilca in Illinois with my brothers & sisters and families was so much fun! The Lord has continued to bless us in so many ways even through the difficulties that life presents. We really miss all of you so please plan a visit to sunny Orlando Florida and enjoy the three available rooms we have! (Pool is included.) :)
