Develop your own plan: Students will have an opportunity to develop their own college and/or career pathway. The plan must include two of the following:
Academic or higher Level Core Courses
Elective Credits that demonstrate a possible career pathway
Community-based Education opportunities
Internships / Co-Ops / Work Experiences
All plans must have eight (8) additional credits BEYOND the general core requirements.
All students will have to develop an Act 158 plan to fulfill the PDE requirements.
When Designing a pathway, students can have up to 6 credits of Academic or Honors level courses.
Courses can be from any department, as long as they relate to a career choice.
Students must identify elective courses that fit their career interest. No more than six credits can be earned through core classes. Students can utilize electives that are part of another program, as long as they relate to the students career plan.
Students can earn up to four credits in an approved Community-Based Education towards their own pathway. Please identify possible credits to be earned. All credits earned in this pathway plan must be earned through the Community-Based Education Teacher(s).
