At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents. -Jane D. Hull
The School recognizes the importance of parental involvement in the education of every child. Various activities involving parents are scheduled throughout the year.
Home-School Communication Clearbook
Every student will be provided with a clearbook that will serve as a communications pouch. All communication between parents/guardians and the School should be sent through this clearbook. Parents are advised to check the clearbook everyday, to look carefully at all correspondence, and to take the appropriate action required. After receiving the communication clearbook, parents should sign the Acknowledgement Slip and return it to the adviser the following day.
Parenting Seminar
Learning Circle holds a Parenting Seminar once a year. During the Parenting Seminar, invited experts speak on issues affecting children today. Towards the end of the forum, Learning Circle teachers and parents discuss plans and recommendations for the school program. Parents are encouraged to attend.
Parent Speakers
Parents are encouraged to share their expertise, profession, or hobbies with students. It is beneficial and inspiring for students to meet good adult role models. Please approach your child’s teacher or the Principal if you are willing to be a Parent Speaker.
Individual Consultations
Parents are also welcome to confer with their child’s teacher whenever the need arises. Please set up an appointment with your child’s teacher ahead of time. Teachers are available for parent conferences from 3:00pm to 4:00 pm Monday – Friday for preschool and elementary and 4:00 – 5:00 pm for high school.
