Welcome to Learning Circle School!
Learning Circle was founded in the year 2000 by Dr. Minerva L. Young, an international educator, who has a passion in teaching. She is an expert in curriculum and instruction, early childhood education and instructional technology. Guided by a constructivist philosophy in teaching, our school believes that children have a natural yearning to explore and learn about their world. The school supports this natural yearning by providing well-planned hands-on as well as vicarious learning activities.
Give your child the Learning Circle Advantage! Learning Circle is duly accredited with the Department of Education. What makes Learning Circle the best school for YOUR child?
1. Caring and Competent Teachers
Learning Circle teachers are dedicated to giving their best. They hold education degrees and are licensed professional teachers. In addition to their college education, Learning Circle teachers undergo intensive teacher training for Teaching the Learning Circle Way. Young children learn best when they have positive and caring relationships with adults and other children.
2. A Safe School
Your child’s safety is our priority. We have protocols in place to ensure your child is safe. Teachers and staff are trained in First Aid. If anything untoward has happened, we will inform you right away. Our only request is to for everyone to please follow school safety rules and regulations.
3. Joyful Classrooms
The administrators and teachers take a lot of time and effort in making classrooms attractive and conducive to learning. We also use positive discipline. Children learn best when they feel safe, secure and happy.
4. Child-Centered Curriculum
Teaching the Learning Circle Way is focused on developing the whole child using developmentally appropriate practice. All our school activities support your child’s whole development: mind, body, and character.
5. A Culture of Leadership
Our mission is to educate the future leaders of tomorrow. We want children to grow strong inside and out, who can be leaders of themselves and others. Children with strong characters who are resilient in the face of adversity; who will be good leaders with conscience and virtues. Learning Circle is a Franklin Covey Leader in Me school. We practice Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Homeroom classes have daily lessons on the 7 Habits.
For the past 25 years, we are very proud of our students’ achievements! They have become well-rounded individuals. They excelled in the academics, arts and sports.
Academics – We are always included in the top 3 rank when it comes to Academics Olympics competition which is participated by the different private schools. The said competition is being held every year. Our students have outstanding technology skills. Most of our graduates pass the entrance examinations given by the different science high schools in the area.
Sports - Our students participate in sports clubs for Futsal and Tae Kwon Do. Many have actively participated in the different competitions at the city, regional, national and international levels and have brought home awards.
Performing Arts- At a young age, our students are trained to perform in various programs which are attended by family members and guests.
I encourage you to visit our campus, meet our faculty and students, and experience for yourself the Learning Circle Advantage!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wenine F. Pagalilauan

Learning Circle is a private school established in 2000 with a mission to educate the future leaders of tomorrow. It is located in Olongapo City, Philippines, with government recognitions for its pre-elementary, elementary and special education programs. Learning Circle follows a constructivist philosophy in teaching. Our teachers provide a caring and nurturing environment where learners flourish. All teachers undergo intensive training on educating children The Learning Circle Way developed by school directress and founding president, Dr. Minerva Young, who envisions Learning Circle to be a joyful place of learning for children, teachers, and parents. It is a nurturing place where children are challenged to think, encouraged to achieve, inspired to care, and trained to lead.
Guided by a constructivist philosophy in teaching, Learning Circle educators believe that children have a natural yearning to explore and learn about their world. We believe that the school can support this natural yearning by providing well-planned, hands-on and engaging learning activities. The proper guidance of significant adults is vital for this task. It is therefore imperative that parents and teachers work together as partners in the education of all students, with adherence to current research findings on how children learn best.
In 2023, Learning Circle partnered with the Center for Leadership and Change, Inc/ Franklin Covey Philippines to implement the Leader in Me process and to help establish Learning Circle as a Leadership School.
