Encyclopedias are very helpful in geography courses because they provide excellent interactive maps as well as general information about geographical areas including demographic information, topography, and statistics. They will also allow you to compare different countries.

CBC Digital Archives: Is a collection of radio and television clips.

A portal to major United Nations databases as well as several international organizations. Includes statistics, estimates and projections. Databases cover Agriculture, Education, Employment, Energy, Industry, etc. Also includes regional profiles.

Nasa Earth Observatory - click the topics to explore.  Also has excellent maps that show climate is impacted by specific activities.

EEA (European Environment Agency)  gathers data about topics related to the environment.
