Thousand Oaks High School
Counseling
Welcome to our TOHS Counseling website!
TOHS Counseling Philosophy and Mission
The counselors at Thousand Oaks High School believe that all students can learn and achieve and have the right to access and participate in the school counseling program. We believe in a holistic approach to school counseling that includes collaboration with multiple stakeholders in a student’s life and addresses and appreciates the uniqueness of each student. Our school counseling program is preventive in design and developmental in nature in order to provide direct academic, college and career, and social-emotional services to all students with additional services and supports to those who need them. We focus on the needs of our students within our school to shape them into academically sound 21st century learners and responsible members of our community within our global society.

The Writing Center at TOHS
Here is our Writing Center Calendar for the school year.
The Writing Center has guest speakers and events, and here is a Google Form for students to fill out in order to make an appointment with one of our coaches.
Coaches and teachers are on hand to help any who arrive, but appointments get first priority. In addition to being a place for revision, The Writing Center is also a place for students to learn about opportunities to write and publish.
Click HERE for a step-by-step guide on how to register for CCGI/CaliforniaColleges.edu, Parchment, and the Common Application.
Don't forget to submit all out of district summer school transcripts to TOHS!
All summer school transcripts from out of district providers (including dual enrollment college courses) need to be sent DIRECTLY to TOHS from the academic institution.
Transcripts cannot be sent from the parent/student. Please have the academic institution mail them to TOHS or submitted via e-mail to our Registrar, Ms. Chrissie Hsu: cfhsu@conejousd.org
