News- Hello grownups! We had such a sweet and wonderful week in preschool! Here is what we've been up to!
Friday we celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day! We test tasted yellow, green, and red apples. We cut up apples and tried our best to make applesauce, but it really didn't come out. We ended up with just soft, cinnamon apples, so still yummy, but not applesauce! Haha! We tried apple juice and apple cider too!
We practiced writing the letter F. We worked on the sound and identifying words that start with the letter F. Also, when we work on our letters and sounds we also work on signing them and signing words that start with that letter. If you're interested in knowing the signs we always do a Miss Patty video and she teaches all of us a few signs!
Our number of the week was 5. We continued practicing one-to-one correspondence with our numbers.
The color of the week was orange.
We read so many books and did a few fun crafts! We have all really gotten into Pete the Cat! We Pete The Cat: I Love My White Shoes and Pete The Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons. We read a few books about fish since it was F week too!
We had so much fun these last two weeks making rice krispies and cutting up apples I would love for every Friday to think of some food to make. I want everyone interested in trying new foods. I'm trying to think of fun and easy things to make in here on Fridays. This Friday is national no sugar day, which seems like a ridiculous day to me. Haha! I think Friday we are all going to make cake pops!
For our 8th week of school we will work on the letter G, the number 6, and the color pink!
