News- Hello grownups! We had such a sweet and wonderful week in preschool! Here is what we've been up to!
We worked on crafts, following directions with the craft, and working on our fine motor skills by cutting, gluing, and coloring.
This week we introduced the letter B. We practiced the sign for B, thought of some words that began with B, and we worked on remembering the sound of the letter B.
Our number of the week was 1.
The color of the week was blue. We worked on tracing the word and finding things around us that was blue.
We read so many books and are practicing "sitting on squares or sitting in chairs." I give them the option to sit in their chair or sit on a carpet square. I'm okay with either as long as we are sitting. Some of the books we read this week were, Little Blue Truck, Trains Go!, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
On Friday, we spent time learning all about potty training. We talked about how we listen to our bodies, what the potty is for, and why it is important to use it. To help us, we read the books Potty Time with Bean and Let's Go to the Potty! The kids had great conversations, had lots of excitement, and lots of curiosity about the potty.
We don't have any birthdays to celebrate in September, but we might just find something fun to celebrate anyway! Because who doesn't love a little party? Ha! For our fourth week of school we will work on the letter C, number 2, and color yellow! We will read tons of books, we will make some crafts, and we will have plenty of playtime!
