Supervisory Special Agent Patrick B. Wyman, Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Patrick Wyman entered on duty with the FBI in January 2009 and is currently the Financial Crime and Intellectual Property Rights program coordinator and field supervisor of the Corporate Fraud/Frauds and Swindles squad for the FBI’s Washington Field Office.
Prior to serving as a field supervisor, SSA Wyman served on a Joint Duty Assignment to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) specifically to the Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (ICIG). While at the ICIG, SSA Wyman served as the Acting Assistant Inspector General for Investigations, leading a team of investigators and analysts responsible for investigating allegations of misconduct by ODNI and other intelligence community personnel, ranging from policy and administrative matters to violations of federal law.
Prior to his selection for Joint Duty Assignment, SSA Wyman served as a program manager in the FBI’s Financial Crimes Section, Money Laundering Unit at FBI headquarters. In this role, SSA Wyman supervised money laundering investigations for FBI field offices and managed the Virtual Currency initiative for FBI as it related to criminal matters and money laundering activities.
Prior to his promotion to FBI Headquarters, SSA Wyman was assigned to the Washington Field Office where he conducted criminal investigations involving bank fraud, wire and mail fraud, embezzlement, identity theft, mortgage fraud, bankruptcy fraud, and money laundering. Additionally, SSA Wyman served as a certified crisis negotiator and assistant team leader of the Crisis Negotiation Team.
SSA Wyman’s career began in the real estate industry in northern Virginia, where he managed two offices for one of the largest privately owned title companies in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. SSA Wyman also served two years as a Fairfax County Police Officer, patrolling areas surrounding Reston, Virginia.
SSA Wyman graduated from James Madison University in 1998 with degrees in Finance and Business Administration.
