Hello Students! Welcome to a week of Learning!

Please test your child on their multiplication facts. Go to the website Math-Aids. Click on multiplication and choose the timed multiplication test which you can print. Time your child for 3 minutes. If they get every problem correct move them on to the next multiplication fact. Your child should know which fact they are currently on.

Please make sure to keep all of your work neatly in your folders.

Monday


Language Arts
  1. Write each spelling word three times each.
  2. Read "The Incredible Goose" Page 10.
  3. Complete Page 5 Simple, Complex and Compound sentences


ExercisePractice aerobics indoors. Do 20 Jumping Jacks, jog in place for 3 minutes and have a Dance party: Turn on the music and dance!
Math
  1. Practice Multiplication Math Facts - Write 3 times each. If you have passed multiplication practice division
  2. Complete 2 pages of Math as shown below. Pages 757, 758

Art
  1. Using the guide below copy the different creatures to create an underwater scene. Tomorrow you will color it.

  • Write a 5 sentence paragraph about what you learned about geese in the article. Main idea three supporting articles and a concluding sentence.

Exercise
  1. Freeze dance: Play music then have someone turn the music on and off. When the music stops, freeze in your pose and hold it until the music begins again.

Math
  1. Practice Multiplication Math Facts - Write 3 times each. If you have passed multiplication practice division
  2. . Complete 4 pages of math as shown below. Pages 759, 760, 761, 762.

Art
  1. Color your underwater scene with paint, colored pencils, crayons or markers.

  1. Today you will begin a painting in the style of the artist Piet Mondrian.
  • Go online and look at some images painting by the artist Piet Mondrian.
  • Look below to see the materials you will need. If you don't have black electrical tape you may use a black marker to complete your painting.
  • Begin your masterpiece by drawing horizontal and vertical spaces on your paper with a pencil and ruler as shown below.

Social Studies

  • Explain how kids views on choosing books have changed over time in two sentences. Then in one sentence explain how you choose a book.

  1. Have a family member or guardian give you a spelling test of the words you have studied this week-(No Peeking)
  2. Complete Comprehension vocabulary test below. "Rabbit and Coyote", questions 1 to 8.

IMPORTANT: Have your parents take a picture of your test and email it to your teacher. They need to be turned in by 12:00 noon on Friday. There will be 2 or 3 tests every week. Please send pictures of your favorite art project of the week! You may be in the picture if you wish, but only if your parents give permission to send it to your teacher. It will be posted in next weeks link to share with the class and may turn up on the El Dorado website in a video presentation!

  1. Write a journal entry of at least 3 sentences. End your day with a Squiggle drawing and writing. Ask your parent to draw a squiggle for you to start. Use your parents squiggle to create a picture and write three sentences about your picture. Each sentence must be at least 8 words in length.
