Hello Students! Welcome to a week of Learning!

Please test your child on their multiplication facts. Go to the website Math-Aids. Click on multiplication and choose the timed multiplication test which you can print. Time your child for 3 minutes. If they get every problem correct move them on to the next multiplication fact. Your child should know which fact they are currently on.

Please make sure to keep all of your work neatly in your folders.

Language Arts
  1. Write a sentence with 10 spelling words (At least 8 words in each sentence and each one written clearly and neatly..
  2. Read "Dr. Knowall " by The Brothers Grim Page 12 through 15 .
  3. Practice your cursive below (G and L)

Exercise
  1. Freeze dance: Play music then have someone turn the music on and off. When the music stops, freeze in your pose and hold it until the music begins again.

Math
  1. Practice Multiplication Math Facts - Write 3 times each. If you have passed multiplication practice division
  2. . Complete 2 pages of math as shown below. Pages 801, 802.

Art
  1. Today you will begin making your own Picasso portrait.
  2. Follow the pattern below step by step with your pencil. Make your own hair design if you like. This can be a boy or a girl. Make sure to finish the background -you may create interesting shapes if you like.
  3. Begin to color your Picasso using either oil pastels, crayons or markers. Use whatever colors you like. Tomorrow you will finish coloring in your creation.

Science
  1. Go to Student Links and click on NASA.
  • Click on "Missions"
  • Choose Artemis and read through all of the activities of the mission
  • Write thee things you learned about Artemis.

Journal
  1. Write a journal entry of at least 3 sentences. If you could visit any planet, which would you go to?

  • First Paragraph (Beginning) Main idea and three details about beginning of the story.
  • Second paragraph (Middle) Main idea and three details about beginning of the story.

  1. Today you will complete your "Picasso" creation by coloring in the entire portrait. Don't forget to color the background.
  2. After your art is colored in use a black crayon or black marker to draw over your lines to outline your creation.

  • Choose Curiosity Rover and read through all of the activities of the mission.
  • Write thee things you learned about the Curiosity Rover.

  2. Complete Comprehension/Vocabulary Unit 6 Assessment below. Pages 123 through 128 "Anansi", questions 1 to 11. Remember to answer each part of the questions. Some have two parts.


IMPORTANT: Have your parents take a picture of your test and email it to your teacher. They need to be turned in by 12:00 noon on Friday. There are 3 tests this week (Spelling, Math and Comprehension. Please send pictures of your favorite art project of the week! You may be in the picture if you wish, but only if your parents give permission to send it to your teacher. It will be posted in next weeks link to share with the class and may turn up on the El Dorado website in a video presentation!
