Monday

1. Write each spelling word three times each.
2. Complete the Build Reflect Write page

• Do all sections except "Choose your Topic" section
• Write a five sentence essay paragraph for the Research and writing section.

1. Practice Multiplication Math Facts - Write 3 times each. If you have passed multiplication practice division
2. Complete 2 pages of Math as shown below. Pages 855,856

1. Go to BrainPop Jr. and listen to the video about colors on student links.

• Complete the art activity that goes with the lesson ..

1. Continue working on Native Americans of California Social Studies Project (please save all of your notes and sentences for our project)
2. Now that you have chosen your tribe. (Search online as this is an online research report)

• Write three sentences discussing the type of clothing the people in your tribe wore. Be sure to describe what materials they used to make their clothing, why they made this type of clothing and why it was useful for them.

Tuesday

1. Write a sentence with 10 spelling words (At least 8 words in each sentence and each one written clearly and neatly..
2. A prefix is a syllable or word which is added to the beginning of a word to change the meaning of the word,

• Look up 5 prefixes online and add them to a base word to create a new word . Then use each new word in a sentence.

• Read paragraphs 1 to 8. Write three sentences describing Harry. What adjectives would you use to describe him as a character? What choice does Harry make in these paragraphs? What is the result of his choice?

1. Freeze dance: Play music then have someone turn the music on and off. When the music stops, freeze in your pose and hold it until the music begins again.

2. . Complete test "Check My Progress" Pages 857 and 858 only

1. Write a journal entry of at least 3 sentences. What is your favorite room in your home and why?

Wednesday

1. Write your spelling words in alphabetical order
2. Complete Prefix worksheet.
3. Read "Lazy Harry" all the way to the end which is paragraph 16.
4. Write a summary of the story. 5 sentences with a beginning a middle and an end.

1. Practice Multiplication Math Facts - Write 3 times each. If you have passed multiplication practice division
2. Complete 4 pages of math as shown below. Pages 859, 860, 861, 862

1. Begin Flowers and mountains painting. Directions below.
2. Paint only the grass and sky as shown in instruction #1 and #2.

2. Continue writing your rough draft of your Native American report. Use the worksheet below as a guide to writing your rough draft.

1. End your day with a Squiggle drawing and writing. Ask your parent to draw a squiggle for you to start. Use your parents squiggle to create a picture and write three sentences

Thursday

1. Write each spelling word one time then underline each vowel and circle each consonant . Vowels (a,e,i,o,u) Consonant all other letters.
2. An Adjective is a word that describes a noun or pronoun. Look up 5 adjectives online and use each one in a sentence.
3. Read "Two Foolish Brothers"
4. Write two sentences describing why the brothers were unhappy at the end of the story.

1. Go to GoNoodle when you click on Student Links in the 3rd Grade Website. Pick 3 fun activities to do by yourself or with a family member

1. Continue working on Flowers and Mountains painting.
2. Paint rows of flowers with Qtips as shown in next direction. Let it dry a bit in between different color flowers.

3. Proofread and edit your rough draft of your Native American report. Use the worksheet below as a guide to writing your rough draft.

1. Write a journal entry of at least 3 sentences. What is your favorite mammal and why?

Friday

1. Have a family member or guardian give you a spelling test of the words you have studied this week-(No Peeking)
2. Complete your published paper of your Native American Report as shown below in *Social Studies

IMPORTANT: Have your parents take a picture of your test and email it to your teacher. They need to be turned in by 12:00 noon on Friday. There will be 2 or 3 tests every week. Please send pictures of your favorite art project of the week! You may be in the picture if you wish, but only if your parents give permission to send it to your teacher. It will be posted in next weeks link to share with the class and may turn up on the El Dorado website in a video presentation!
