Hello Students! Welcome to a week of Learning!

Please test your child on their multiplication facts. Go to the website Math-Aids. Click on multiplication and choose the timed multiplication test which you can print. Time your child for 3 minutes. If they get every problem correct move them on to the next multiplication fact. Your child should know which fact they are currently on.

Please make sure to keep all of your work neatly in your folders.

Monday

1. Write each spelling word three times each.
2. Read "From Fruit to Jam" Pages 22 to 25.
3. Complete Regular/Irregular plurals chart. Use your spelling words for irregular plurals and look up regular plurals online

1. Practice Multiplication Math Facts - Write 3 times each. If you have passed multiplication practice division
2. Complete 2 pages of Math as shown below. Pages 869,870

1. Go to BrainPop Jr. and listen to the video about the artist Georgia O'Keefe

• Complete the art activity that goes with the lesson "Observe and draw a flower".

1. Go to the student Links tab and after clicking on it go to tThe Monterey Bay Aquarium Icon and click.

• Click on the Coral Reef Cam and watch the creatures swim around in a live video at the aquarium. Found in Live Cams on the website
• Click on Animals and choose Sharks and read the article.
• Write the main idea and three interesting things you have learned about sharks in a paragraph. Remember to have a topic sentence three details and a concluding sentence.

Tuesday

1. Write a sentence with 10 spelling words (At least 8 words in each sentence and each one written clearly and neatly..
2. Read "From Fruit to Jam", again. This time pages 22 to 29 which is the end of the article.

• Write a 5 sentence paragraph about the article with the main idea, three supporting details and a concluding sentence.

3. Complete "Comparatives and Superlatives" below. Page (9)

1. Freeze dance: Play music then have someone turn the music on and off. When the music stops, freeze in your pose and hold it until the music begins again.

1. End your day with a Squiggle drawing and writing. Ask your parent to draw a squiggle for you to start. Use your parents squiggle to create a picture and write three sentences

Thursday

1. Write each spelling word one time then underline each vowel and circle each consonant . Vowels (a,e,i,o,u) Consonant all other letters.
2. Read the article "Cows".

• Write three details about cows explained in the article.

1. Go to GoNoodle when you click on Student Links in the 3rd Grade Website. Pick 3 fun activities to do by yourself or with a family member

2. Complete Math Review Test for Chapter 14 (Geometry) as shown below.. Pages 877, 878, 879.

IMPORTANT: Have your parents take a picture of your test and email it to your teacher on Friday.

Friday

1. Have a family member or guardian give you a spelling test of the words you have studied this week-(No Peeking)
2. Complete Comprehension vocabulary test below. "The Silly Wishes", questions 1 to 9.

IMPORTANT: Have your parents take a picture of your test and email it to your teacher. They need to be turned in by 12:00 noon on Friday. There will be 2 or 3 tests every week. Please send pictures of your favorite art project of the week! You may be in the picture if you wish, but only if your parents give permission to send it to your teacher. It will be posted in next weeks link to share with the class and may turn up on the El Dorado website in a video presentation!
