Please test your child on their multiplication facts. Go to the website Math-Aids. Click on multiplication and choose the timed multiplication test which you can print. Time your child for 3 minutes. If they get every problem correct move them on to the next multiplication fact. Your child should know which fact they are currently on.

Monday

1. Write each spelling word three times each.
2. Today you will begin writing your Dog or Cat opinion paper. You need to decide which pet you feel is the best pet!!

• Read "Prompt for Opinion Writing- What kind of Pet is Best, a Dog or a Cat" again.
• Read "Opinion Writing Dog or Cat" directions for each paragraph.
• Begin writing your Rough Draft. (Use the notes you took about the articles you read last week, you may also use the articles)
• Make sure to carefully follow the directions for each paragraph.
• You will be finishing your Rough Draft tomorrow.

3. Practice your cursive below (a and d)

1. Practice Multiplication Math Facts - Write 3 times each. If you have passed multiplication practice division
2. Complete 4 pages of Math as shown below. Pages (785, 786, 787, 788)

1. Today you will begin working on your Claude Monet painting
2. First look up Claude Monet and discover three things about him. Also look at his paintings.
3. Begin working on your painting by following the instructions for Day #1 below.

1. Write a sentence with 10 spelling words (At least 8 words in each sentence and each one written clearly and neatly..
2. Today you will finish your Rough Draft. (Use the notes you took about the articles you read last week, you may also use the articles)

• Use the editing marks listed below to make your rough draft as perfect as you can before you publish.

1. Freeze dance: Play music then have someone turn the music on and off. When the music stops, freeze in your pose and hold it until the music begins again.

2. Publish your "Dog or Cat Opinion Paper". Type and add a picture from the internet. If you do not have access to a computer or IPad you may write your report dark and very neatly and have your parent or guardian take a picture of it to email to your teacher . This is due to be emailed on Friday.

IMPORTANT: Have your parents take a picture of your Spelling Test and "Dog or Cat" Writing and email it to your teacher. They need to be turned in by 12:00 noon on Friday. There will be 2 or 3 tests or assignments due to be turned in every week. Please send pictures of your favorite art project of the week! You may be in the picture if you wish, but only if your parents give permission to send it to your teacher. It will be posted in next weeks link to share with the class and may turn up on the El Dorado website in a video presentation!
