Monday 22nd 

A busy first day was had by all today! After leaving school (perfectly on time!) we had a good journey down to Portsmouth. The good weather started here and didn't really end - the ferry across to UKSA on the Isle of Wight was smooth and only a few children got splashed by the waves. On arrival to UKSA the children were taken on a site walk before eating their lunch and being shown to their rooms. Wet suits was the next challenge, and how to get into them! After everyone was ready, we played lots of different games in the water, attempted to build rafts (although, I thought rafts were not really meant to sink) and then did some pontoon jumps. After the first activity, it was dinner time: pasta was on offer today. Then, the evening activity - the children took part in team quizzes lead by UKSA instructors. After that, finally, was bed time! We're all tired but excited for our first proper activities tomorrow - dinghy sailing! Have a look at some of the photos below from day 1!
