Reception
What an amazing term the Reception children have had! This term our Unit of Inquiry has been 'The world can be influenced by many great people.' We started our learning by inquiring into personal histories of different people. We wanted to learn lots about Pablo Picasso, Martin Luther King Jr, Michelle Obama, Malala Yousafzai Mae Jemison, Stevie Wonder and Mahatma Gandhi. Once we knew about them we started to become aware of what these remarkable people did for us including making sure everyone is treated fairly, being peaceful with each other and trying to be the very best versions of ourselves- all of the time!
We reflected about what we want to be in the future and took part in our very first 'Reception Futures Day' at LPPA! We even wrote a letter to our future self with the help of our grown ups! They are now safely stored in Miss Brading's Office until we are ready to leave and continue our learning journey at Secondary School! WOW!
