Line of Inquiry 1: An Inquiry into recognising how living things grow and change.
We started the term learning about how we grow as babies into toddlers, children, teenagers and adults. We then compared the characteristics of different animals and we identified herbivores, carnivores and omnivores. We spoke about animal diets and this lead us to think about our learning about dinosaurs!
Line of Inquiry 2: An Inquiry into our responsibility towards our community.
Next, we learnt about belonging to different communities and how people with different religious beliefs show they belong to different communities. We learnt about our community and how we look after it. From this, we learnt how our local area has changed over time. We were fascinated to learn about the Hop-pickers picking the hops to make beer in Fremlin Brewery!
Line of Inquiry 3: An Inquiry into how our local area is connected.
During this line of Inquiry we learnt about our local area of Maidstone and how Iggy's bones were extracted from The Maidstone Slab. We went to The Natural History Museum to see this!
