Important reminders:
Snack:
Your child should please bring a healthy snack and water bottle to school every day. Please also remember that we are a nut free school. A water bottle is especially important on days where the children have sport lessons.
Sport - Monday and Wednesday
Sport will take place at the Fulbourn Sport and Recreation Centre. Children are reminded to please wear clothing to school that is suitable for a sports lesson (tracksuit trousers/ leggings/shorts and t-shirt). Please also note that the children MUST wear white, non-marking soled shoes inside the sports centre.
Kung Fu sessions take place on Tuesday afternoon from 15:15 - 15:40. Children will need to wear comfortable and practical clothing for these sessions.
Swimming
First lesson 10th September until the 2nd December.
Children will need to bring their swimming suit, towel and swimming cap, goggles are encouraged.
Forest School - every other Monday starting 8th September
Please make sure you have the relevant equipment for forest school sessions
Weather appropriate clothing. This includes trousers and closed toed shoes (especially important for stinging nettles).
Wellington boots and waterproof gear.
A full change of clothes and towel. We will not be allowing students to work in the river unless they have a spare set of clothes and wellies. We have had plenty of slips in the water before which makes for unhappy and soggy children!
School provides packed lunches for all students (we have asked for their sandwich preference at school). If your child would prefer to bring their own lunch on forest school days please email the school office so we have an accurate idea of catering numbers.
Rec visit:
On Friday lunchtimes all primary classes will be going to the Fulbourn Rec. Centre for their playtime. This will allow students more open, free space to run around/play ball sports as well as giving students access to other play equipment. It is especially important that your child brings appropriate clothing for the weather on these days.
Equipment:
Pencil cases should include:
pencil
handwriting pen (preferably not a ball-point pen)
30cm ruler
pencil sharpener
eraser
glue stick
scissors
Headphones in a resealable bag
Their own device/chromebook to access their work online.
Please make sure all devices and accessories are named.
Home learning:
Home learning tasks will be assigned via Toddle, which will be visible on parent and student accounts.
